    Honor humanitarian Elie Wiesel (1928-2016) with this two-ounce stamp from the U.S. Postal Service. A survivor of Naziconcentration camps, Wiesel fought for human rights and was awarded the Nobel Peace Prize in 1986, His writing about theHolocaust is forever seared on the public consciousness.
    Issued in a pane of 20, the 18th stamp in the Distinguished American series features a 1999 black-and-white photograph of Wieselin a suit and tie, with a pensive expression on his face, The word "Humanitarian" is printed vertically over the bottom lelt side ofthe image.
    Art director Ethel Kessler designed the stamp with a photograph by Sergey Bermeniev.
